Staffelter Hof - Magnus Riesling 2022

Delightful introductory Riesling from Staffelter Hof's so-called 'classic' range. Made in a low intervention way, it is more familiar as Mosel Riesling than perhaps the zero-additions range that Jan makes, though every bit as pure and mineral. For an entry Mosel Riesling it is already beautifully open and ready to drink, with loads of stone fruits, lime zest, and salinity. 

Made by Jan Klein, the latest generation at the helm on this historical estate which has been in the family since 1805, but operating as a winery since 862...! Jan started to produce a special range of wines with no added sulphites in 2014, a range that has now expanded to nearly ten singular wines.
