Nibiru - Alte Reben Riesling 2018

Stunning dry Riesling from Northeastern Austria. This comes from a small plot of their best vines, picked a touch later than the rest of their vineyards, and ferments naturally in an old barrel where it stays for one year before aging for two years in bottle prior to release. This is always a wine that needs time, and we are thrilled to finally list this 2018. Intense mineral and tense backbone but surrounded by gorgeous stone fruits, citrus fruits, herbal notes, and a lovely texture. A distinct expression of this noble grape. 

A great insight into the top range from Julia & Josef, a young couple who are only on their third vintage but showing impressive maturity. 'Alte Reben' means 'old vines' and represents a series of single-variety wines they produce from tiny parcels of their oldest and best vineyards.
