L'Archetipo - Verdeca Sette Lune 2020

(Puglia, Italy)

Made from the hyper local variety Verdeca, this wine actually sees seven months of skin contact yet it does not quite pick up enough colour to be called 'orange.' It does however get a wonderful aromatic lift and buckets of texture and salinity. A special white wine whose freshness will surprise you considering its Southern Italian origins.

Made by Valentino Dibenedetto and his four children, who together run the project L'Archetipo. Rooted in the concepts of synergistic agriculture, they are at the forefront of Italy's no-till regenerative viticulture movement. Farming vines alongside ancient grains, the aim is proper soil health, which ultimately leads to grapes and wines of insane balance and energy.
