La Niverdière - Resilience 2016

(Chinon, Loire Valley, France) 

From a hallowed parcel of 75-year-old vines, Resilience is the pinnacle of the estates production.  These tree-like plants in this jungle of a vineyard provide a tiny amount of fruit of the highest concentration and flavour, used to produce a layered, complex, and age-worthy wine.  Here we are happy to present the second vintage 2016, which is showing beautifully at the moment. Dense fruit, layers and layers of bramble and spices, a remarkable freshness from this cold vintage, and the trademark salinity on the finish.  One to enjoy and watch evolve over a long evening.
