Cascina Zerbetta - Quattrocento 2023

A special expression of Sauvignon Blanc grown on heavy, iron-rich red clay soils in the Monferrato zone in Piemonte. With a hint of skin contact this wine picks up some mild colour, texture, and a very savoury, flinty edge that layers around a core of fruit. Complex and unique.

Made by Paolo Malfatti, a Piemonte native who planted his vines on previously unused land in Monferrato in the late 90's. In this picturesque corner of Italy's Northwest, vines grow alongside organic hazelnuts and wild plants.
