The focus here is accessibility and value. We have put together a wonderful selection of three whites and three reds from Austria, Portugal, Spain, and Italy. They are all easy going, fresh, uncomplicated, and with wide appeal.

(Kamptal, Austria) Nibiru - Grundstein Grüner Veltliner 2019
Linear and mineral, dry and crisp. Very refreshing with just a touch of texture, and a distinct saline finish. Will comfortably accompany most meals. A great entry-point into the wines of Julia & Josef, a young couple who are only on their third vintage but showing impressive maturity.
(Douro, Portugal) Folias de Baco - Moscatel Galego 2019
A wonderfully aromatic white that is lean and crisp. Made from the Muscat variety, it has very perfumed yet quite restrained compared to more common examples. The palate is a citrus and grapefruit burst with a zesty finish. Made by Tiago Sampaio, a grower who took over his Grandparents' vineyards and 2007 and has progressively become one of Portugal's most sought after natural wine producers.
(Tuscany, Italy) Fattoria di Sammontana - Prunecchio 2019
An exciting blend of Trebbiano, Sauv Blanc, and Malvasia. The Trebbiano Toscano brings a saline and mineral edge, the Sauvignon brings freshness and texture, whilst the pinch of Malvasia adds a gorgeous aromatic lift. A refreshing wine that punches above its weight year after year. Made by Daniele & Dario, the fourth generation at this Tuscan estate. Within the range they make a balanced mix of traditional Sangioveses along with experimental wines vinified in clay amphoras (see the orange wine section).
(Navarra, Spain) Azul y Garanza - Abril 2019
Tempranillo from a desert region in Northern Spain. Medium bodied, great aromatic, black fruits and spice, very fresh. Made by Maria, Dani, and Fernando, a dynamic trio who slowly converted an abandoned cooperative building in their village of Carcastillo to a fully operational winery. A huge commitment to biodiversity in the vines leads to wines of pronounced purity.
(Sicily, Italy) Valdibella - Kerasos 2019
Very enticing Nero d'Avola from the western coast of Sicily. Potent aromatic of cherries and spice, and a very juicy palate yet with a nice restraint and some savoury notes. Medium bodied with some fine tannins. A fantastic every day red. Made by the team at Valdibella, an impressive and inspiring cooperative based in Sicily's west who have a huge focus on biodiverse farmlands, an active social impact, and are part of the Addiopizzo anti-mafia movement.
(Tuscany, Italy) Fattoria di Sammontana - Sangiovese 2018
A very crisp and pure Sangiovese from Tuscany. Lovely bright fruit and great energy. Medium bodied at most, but structured & dry. Fantastic with food in particular. Made by Daniele & Dario, the fourth generation at this Tuscan estate. Within the range they make a balanced mix of traditional Sangioveses along with experimental wines vinified in clay amphoras (see the orange wine section).
