Nuvo Nivo - Origine 2024

100% Barbera. This wine marks an exciting chapter of Modal's history. The name, which is french for 'new level' signifies us moving into a new phase and into the production of our own range of wines that exemplify our farming and winemaking values while helping to address some of the issues faced by the industry.

This wine has been made in conjunction with Paolo Mafatti, who was the first producer who joined Modal Wines, hence the name 'Origine'.  Origine was made using some of his incredible organically-farmed Barbera, which grows on his farm alongside hazelnut and fruit trees in a beautiful and biodiverse ecosystem. This cuveé came out a touch lighter than his usual style of Barbera, so rather than be wasted, it became the third release of our Nuvo Nivo series.
